Tracey Freiberg

Tracey Freiberg is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John’s University and the Associate Director of the Thomas J. Cox Honors Program. Her research expertise and interests are interdisciplinary in nature with a focus on work-life decisions, labor markets, company behavior, economics, public policies, and community well-being. Most recently, she has been focused on company responses to and perceptions of paid leave policies in the United States. Professionally, she has over 10 years of experience in insurance, financial services, consulting, research, and academia. Dr. Freiberg holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business Administration from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a Master of Arts degree in Economics from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and a PhD in Public and Urban Policy from the Milano School of Policy, Management, and Environment at The New School.
