Maria Beatriz Barberis

She is a Master's student in the Global Politics and Society program at the University of Milan, where she is completing a thesis on the development of the welfare state and social policy in Latin America. She previously earned a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from São Paulo State University (UNESP) in Brazil. Between her degrees, she accumulated five years of professional experience working on development projects within international organizations. Her research interests include comparative social policy and inequality in the Global South.
